Select Security, the South Wales-based CCTV and fire alarm specialists, has made the first in a series of donations to the Teddy Trust.
Select was approached by Debbie Murray, estate manager at Glanusk, Crickhowell, who began collecting teddies as part of a national effort organised by the Leominster-based Teddy Trust. Debbie had set herself the target of collecting ten thousand cuddly toys, which would then be sent to war and poverty-stricken regions of the world where children did not have a teddy to cuddle.
Commenting on the initiative, Select Security’s Managing Director, Leon Window, said: “When we were asked if we would like to get involved, we jumped at the chance to lend our support to such a worthy appeal. The team at Select is very proud of the efforts we make to support charities, sports teams and initiatives such as this. The Glan Usk Estate was where Select Security started in the business, so we know the team very well and we know the effort they have invested in collecting cuddle toys in support of The Teddy Trust.”
