Quad Bike Tracker Installation
Our Client
Quad bike theft is becoming an increasingly common problem for farmers. In this case, the customer decided to have trackers fitted to various assets starting with their quad bike.
Notes & Feedback
The farmer’s first quad was stolen just after the tracker was installed – Happily, the tracking system meant we tracked it all the way to the thief’s house and the police successfully retrieved the quad bike.
Unbelievably the same quad bike was stolen a second and then a third time – but was retrieved each time after tracker information was passed to the police. In fact, Gwent Police went on to uncover evidence of a ‘professional’ gang’s quad bike ‘chop shop’. Members of the gang were convicted and received prison sentences as a result of handing over the tracker information.

We covertly installed the Plant-I quad track system onto the bike.
The tracking system is simple to fit but the technology is not familiar to many farmers. We needed to train them step-by-step in how to use the online tracking system.
Since carrying out the initial tracker installation we have installed tracking devices on many of the farmer’s other assets (farm vehicles/machinery). Plus we’ve installed a new intruder alarm in the machinery shed itself.
